South Tahoe Middle School has been selected as a finalist to win a handful of robots and the community could help by casting votes.

STMS was selected along wth 14 other schools for the final round of a contest to win 10 Sphero RVR robots.

The deadline to vote on Survey Monkey is at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. The top five schools win. One vote per device. Select @stmsmakerlab when casting votes.

The Maker Lab at STMS was started in 2016 by Jackie Tan and the program has grown to serve over 400 middle school students each year.

The Make Lab teaches kids “old school” hands on skills and mixes in high tech skills, including 3D printing and computer coding.
