Community flu shot clinics

The El Dorado County Health Services Department, Public Health Division, is offering the seasonal flu vaccine by appointment at clinic locations in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe.

To schedule an appointment, call 530-621-6100 in Placerville or 530-573-3155 in South Lake Tahoe.

The flu vaccine is free for children 6 months through 18 years of age. People 65 and older will be billed with Medicare Part B. There is a $15 fee requested for all others, but no one will be turned away who can’t afford the vaccine.

Both the flu shot and nasal flu mist are available. Individuals should speak with their health care provider if they have specific questions or concerns about getting the flu vaccine. People allergic to eggs and babies under 6 months should not get the vaccine.
