Company makes logo trailer hitches

A year-old manufacturing company based in Los Angeles is filling a new niche with a hitch.

Hitch-It, Inc. started selling last week its sport utility vehicle trailer hitches adorned with the Heavenly Lake Tahoe and Kirkwood Mountain Resort logos at Long’s Drugs and Powder-House in South Lake Tahoe.

The company hopes to expand its list of retailers in the coming months and sell them all year round.

The suggested retail price of the hitch is $15.

It’s designed to cover the hitch where the towing ball is usually situated. It does not serve as a towing hitch.

The list of featured ski resorts has grown to almost 20 and includes Mammoth Mountain and Snow Summit.
