Concealed Weapons course taught in Douglas

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will conduct a concealed weapons certification course Sept. 13, 14 and 15. The class is approved for concealed weapon carry permit applicants and the instructor is Daniel Linn.

Participants, whether beginner or advanced, will be encouraged in the safe use of firearms as well as the parts and operation of both semi-auto and revolver. The course will conclude with live fire exercises on the range along with a state mandated qualification shoot and a written test. Class handouts and textbooks are included in the price of the course.

The cost is $90 plus a $10 insurance fee payable to the instructor. A spouse can take the course at 50 percent off if enrolled in the same class.
