Cool and possibly wet weather today
A bit of a break from the heat will occur today, with some sunshine but abundant cloud cover, and at least a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
A lot will depend on how fast a disturbance moves through today, as a morning passage of the weakness will produce a drier day, versus an afternoon passage, which would yield widespread showers and thunderstorms.
In any case, highs today will probably remain in the 70s, with lows tonight in the upper 40s to upper 50s.
Winds will be generally light, although some westerly late afternoon breezes around 10 to 15 mph are possible, especially if the weakness moves through early in the day.
Keep the umbrella around, as you may still need it.
