Cooler and clear conditions today
It will be considerably cooler today and winds will be much lighter as high pressure settles over our region, but this time, in a more fall-like fashion with mostly clear skies and light winds.
Bright sunshine today and mild temperatures with highs only warming into the upper 60s to mid 70s with some upper 70s possible in the valleys of Alpine County.
Winds will be light from the north in the 5 to 10 mph range.
For tonight, clear skies and light winds could spell the end of the growing season for the typical cold spots around Truckee and Meyers. There could be some frost with lows dropping down to near 30 around Truckee, lower 30s around Meyers and mid 30s to mid 40s for the rest of us in the basin.
As always, the warmer temperatures will be found along the north and east shores of Tahoe.
Nice weather looks to stick around for the rest of the week with only a few clouds at times and pleasant temperatures with light winds.
