Get your tickets right now for the best Irish party of the year before they are sold out. The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club’s 38th annual St. Patrick’s Day Wine Tasting and Corned Beef Feed will take place Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. at Harrah’s Convention Center.

Come and join in the fun of a traditional Irish dinner featuring corned sirloin of beef and cabbage with all of the trimmings. Sample generous pours of premium California wine from 12 different wineries. JJ Entertainment is providing music and dancing. It is a full evening of St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

There are a few tickets remaining, but you must act now because the St. Patrick’s Day Wine Tasting and Corned Beef Feed always sells out. You don’t want to miss this great fundraiser. The ticket donation is $50 each. Your ticket also gives you an entry in the grand prize drawing for an Easter Week vacation at the Pahio Kauai Beach Villas plus $1,000 cash for airfare. Tickets may be purchased from any Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club member or at the following locations: Tahoe-Douglas Chamber of Commerce, South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, Lakeside Inn & Casino cashier cage, Century 21 Tahoe Pines and Colonial Bank on Kingsbury Grade and Hot Springs Spas on Highway 50 at Elks Point Road. The event features an incredible silent auction with more than 200 donated items. The community is generous with great gifts like ski passes, room night packages, spa treatments, golf passes, baseball tickets, artwork and many dining certificates at all the tasty local restaurants. Also included in this tremendous auction are more than 100 accommodation packages to cities across the United States and Mexico. Some of the fabulous destinations featured are Hawaii, San Francisco, Napa Valley, San Diego, La Jolla, Santa Monica, Scottsdale, New York and Orlando. There will also be an instant raffle featuring prizes from generous local restaurants and retailers.

All the money raised at the St. Patrick’s Day Wine Tasting and Corned Beef Feed is used to provide for college scholarships and donations to local nonprofit organizations. Last year proceeds from the wine tasting allowed the club to donate $10,000 in academic scholarships to 10 local high school seniors and another $21,000 to local community programs that benefit all of us here at Lake Tahoe. Come and join us on Friday to enjoy a great time for a great cause.
