A photo caption in Wednesday’s Tahoe Daily Tribune referenced money to be spent on Lake Tahoe Airport runway improvements, which were delayed. The South Lake Tahoe City Council voted to improve security functions through federal and state funds as indicated in the story.

In addition, the $150,000 allocated by the council for construction of the Bijou Community Park ballfields will not come out of the capital improvement program as recommended by staff. Proposition 40 funds – which are designated by the state for parks and recreation purposes – will be used.
