Council approves minor changes to vacation rental rules
June 22, 2011
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe City Council approved minor changes to its vacation rental ordinance Tuesday.
The approval consolidates management of the program under the chief of police and changes descriptions of time periods in the ordinance to “business days.”
The changes were unanimously approved by the four council members at Tuesday’s meeting. Councilman Tom Davis recused himself from Tuesday’s discussion because he is a shareholder in Tahoe Keys Resort.
Two residents urged the city to take a harder look at large parties held at vacation rental properties as well as parking issues associated with the properties.
