County looks to increase online speed

Tribune

Supervisor Penny Humphreys and Patrick Hale, director of the Information Services Department for El Dorado County, are holding a forum that will give the public an opportunity to discuss the current condition and desired future state of high-speed Internet access in El Dorado County.

The forum will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 19 in the board chambers, 330 Fair Lane, Placerville, Calif.

Representatives from SBC/Pacific Bell and AT&T have accepted invitations to attend the meeting and to provide information regarding their capabilities to meet current and anticipated demand for high-speed Internet access. Anyone interested is invited to participate. For more information call Connie Zelinsky, Humphreys’ assistant, at (530) 621-6513 or e-mail bosfour@co.el-dorado.ca.us.
