Couple weds at golf course
Renee Elizabeth Allen and Garth Edward Givens, both of South Lake Tahoe, exchanged wedding vows Aug. 11 at the South Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and John Spinola officiated at the double-ring ceremony that was attended by 145 family members and friends. A reception followed the ceremony at the clubhouse.
The bride is the daughter of Mark Allen Sr. of Midway City, Calif., and Donna and Lee Rivard of Westminster, Calif. The bridegroom’s parents are Kaaren and Gordon Maines of West Point, Calif., and the late R. L. Givens.
The bride’s mother was her matron of honor and bridesmaids were the bridegroom’s sister, Monica Givens-Day of Lake Tahoe and Meagan Budzinski and Tamara Fougnie, both of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Best man was Brian Hanna of West Point, Calif., and groomsmen were Bryce Ward of Lake Tahoe and the bridegroom’s brothers, Nelson Givens of Lake Tahoe and Justin Givens of Pine Grove, Calif. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Mark Allen Jr. and Christopher Allen of Huntington Beach and the bridegroom’s nephew, Joshua Day of Lake Tahoe.
Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Haley Kuciemba of Huntington Beach and ring bearer was the bridegroom’s nephew, Garner Day of Lake Tahoe.
The bride graduated from Marina High School and Lola Beauty Academy, both in Huntington Beach. She is assistant manager at Great Outdoor Clothing Company.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Calaveras High School and is employed in underwater pier construction with Lukins Construction Co.
