Crab dinner and auction raises funds at St. Theresa

The St. Theresa Catholic Church annual crab dinner and auction fund-raiser has been scheduled Jan. 31. The event will take place at the parish hall, corner of Highway 50 and Lyons Avenue, right next to the church.

The fund-raiser begins with cocktails including the martini and Margarita bar at 6 p.m. The crab dinner begins at 7 p.m. and the live auction at 8:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased prior to the event for $35 at the school office, 1071 Lyons Ave., Carina’s Cafe or the Kingsbury Coffee Shop on Kingsbury Grade, next to the Goal Post. They will be $40 at the door.

All proceeds go toward improving and implementing new programs for St. Theresa School and its students. Some generous donations to the silent and live auctions include a two-night stay at both Embassy properties; one-night stay at Harrah’s and a show tickets; vacation rentals at Olympic Village at Squaw Valley, Mendocino and Twin Lakes, Calif.; ski lift tickets at three area resorts; car details from Shehadi Motors; a mountain bike for Sports LTD, golf, ice skating and fishing packages; and lake cruises.

Signature items to St. Theresa Crab Dinner include handmade quilts from each grade, kindergarten through eighth, designed and manufactured by the students, teachers and faculty.
