Craft sales will help nonprofits
November 30, 2005
This holiday season, gift-giving can also support local charities and good causes.
Cuckoo in the Noodle will present its fourth annual open studio and fundraiser on Saturday and Dec. 10.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at 940 Sunset Drive, along the river behind the amusement park.
Joining Cuckoo in the Noodle, which offers whimsical gourd containers, ornaments, masks and birdfeeders, will be RearView Miracles with crystal hangings, handmade jewelry and crystal-aromatherapy mist, and Sierra Scents.
On Saturday, Tahoe Mountain Soaps will be present along with Ali Schwarz’s fair trade shawls, jewelry and other gift items from India.
Ten percent of all proceeds go to help local and national nonprofit organizations such as the Daphne Forte Music in the Schools, Tahoe Arts Project, South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Heifer Organization.
