Crash victims flown to Reno

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe resident Andrew Diemer, 29, was the driver of a Dodge pickup that collided with a car-carrier semi-truck Thursday near Echo Summit. Diemer and South Lake Tahoe resident Mark Laufer, 32, were both flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno with major injuries following the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver of the semi was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe with minor injuries.
