Authorities still searching for person of interest in Stateline homicide

After locating a stolen vehicle connected to a homicide in Stateline, authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest.
Law enforcement has been unable to identify the person of interest, who was seen with Kevin LeRoy Edwards prior to his death.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was notified of Edwards’ death at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Stateline on Oct. 3.
Edwards, 56, was living in Reno prior to his death, which was ruled a homicide after a death investigation.
Edwards’ vehicle, a 2001 silver BMW four-door sedan, was reported missing. It was located three days later in Wadsworth, Nevada — approximately 88 miles from Stateline. The car was abandoned.
Authorities are offering a reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and/or conviction of the suspect. Reporting individuals can remain anonymous.
