Man who touched Justin Timberlake’s face at Lake Tahoe celebrity golf tournament arrested

STATELINE — After “inappropriately” touching the face of pop star Justin Timberlake, a 29-year-old Sacramento resident was arrested for “disorderly conduct,” according to a press release from the Douglas County police. The touch occurred while Timberlake was competing at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament Saturday, July 23, at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
Though Timberlake declined to press charges, the “intoxicated” man became “argumentative” when he was asked to leave the premises, leading to his arrest. It was the only incident from celebrity golf week, July 19-24, which set a new attendance record.
Edgewood Tahoe hosts the ACC every year, drawing in athletes and entertainers from all over the country. This year marked the 27th tournament.
