SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — A 19-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was shot in the leg during an apparent drive-by shooting near Ski Run Boulevard and Highway 50 just before midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 14. It was initially reported around midnight on Thursday, Oct. 15.

South Lake Tahoe Police Department is still looking for the suspected gunman, according to Lt. David Stevenson.

Officers located a suspected vehicle at TJ Maxx Center, which is located at the “Y” (at Highway 50 and Highway 89). Stevenson said the suspect fled on foot after that.

“It does not appear to be a random act,” Stevenson said.

Police are still following up on leads.

This story will be updated as information is released.
