Robert Verdun identified as Dayton shooting victim

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested Kristyn Verdun in the shooting death of her husband, Robert Verdun, in Dayton.

According to a press release, deputies responded to reports of a shooting on Gordon Lane in Dayton at about 11 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, Robert was found in the bathroom with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to a Reno hospital, where he later died.

Kristyn was arrested on second-degree murder charges and is being held at the Lyon County Jail.

An autopsy was completed by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office. Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be referred to the Lyon County District Attorney’s Office.
