UNAUTHORIZED PURCHASE

A business on Jameson Beach Road, just west of Camp Richardson Resort, received an unpleasant surprise on Monday, Nov. 16, according to El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office media logs.

The report said an unknown suspect entered and allegedly brandished a knife while demanding money.

The suspect then got impatient, reportedly punching an employee in the face; and then he proceeded to loot both the cash register and the safe before making a run for it in an unknown direction.

Deputies responded to the scene, but the only trace of the robbery suspect were fingerprints and an injured employee. The suspect’s identity remains unknown.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEADS TO ARREST

A domestic dispute call in Stateline on Monday, Nov. 16, ended with one man in custody and a woman in the hospital with severe injuries, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to deputy reports, a 43-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman in a Tramway Drive home in the Upper Kingsbury neighborhood.

During the initial investigation, deputies determined the woman was a victim of domestic abuse. At the time her condition was unknown.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Douglas County Jail in Stateline, with his bail set at $50,000.
