Crime-free housing program is offered at the South Shore

A free training program for local apartment, manufactured housing and vacation rental owners, managers and property management companies looking to reduce crime will be held at the South Shore from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 11.

The “Crime Free Multi-Housing Program” program will be held at Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort at 3535 Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

The program is designed to provide a more stable resident base, reduce law enforcement calls for service, reduce exposure to civil liability, increase rental demand for your property, reduce insurance costs, according to a statement from the program, which is supported by Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, South Lake Tahoe Police Department and Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Seating is limited and registration is requested. To register, contact Melanie Raulston-Arnold via e-mail at laketahoecrimefreeprograms@msn.com or call 775-790-6694.
