Visitors to the casino corridor in Stateline will have a new place to buy their Cheetos come this weekend. A CVS store will open May 6 where the old Bill’s casino used to be.

A variety of other businesses, including a Dotty’s Casino, a Teaz N Pleaz adult store, Tahoe Diamond District, a pilates studio and a Lucky Beaver Bar and Burger are slated to open in the remodeled space in coming months.

The building underwent a $3 million renovation that replaced almost everything, said Mike Laub, who owns the property.

“We really started over with the building,” Laub said.

The front and back of the building have been reworked and repainted. The back entrance of the building features new landscaping.

The new CVS has already hired 22 people to work in the store. The other businesses in the space will have numerous other job opportunities as well. The Lucky Beaver Bar and Burger will have a job fair May 5-6.

“As the other tenants open, you’re going to see more and more jobs,” Laub said.

There are still four spaces left to be filled and the mall has yet to be named.

Bill’s closed in January 2010. Laub bought the property for $5.225 million in March of the same year. The renovation of 49,000-square-foot property began last summer and should be completed by June, Laub said.
