Cycle Celebration offers bike activities

Celebrate the end of the 2015 Tahoe Bike Challenge and the beginning of a summer of bicycling. There will be competions for fastest at changing of a flat bike tire, free raffle for a chance to win a new beach cruiser bike. All are welcome to enjoy this free-of-charge event celebrating the joys of biking in Tahoe. the event takes place at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe from noon to 4 p.m on Saturday.

The event is open to the public and hosted by the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition. It is the official celebration to close out the Tahoe Bike Challenge. There will be a wide-variety of bicycle-themed activities for the whole family, such as bike swap, kid zone (bike rodeo, turtle race, bike jeopardy), mini-yoga sessions, bike parade, photo booth, flat tire changing contest, raffle prizes and a bike tune-up booth. The Cycle Celebration will highlight winners of the 2015 Tahoe Bike Challenge, as well as feature the presentation of the 2014 Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.
