“Santa Cruz’s Favorite Band” headlines this week’s 10th Tee Music Series at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
The group plays a free show Sunday as part of the music series that takes place the third Sunday of every month through September. The show will be Extra Large’s South Lake Tahoe debut.
“Extra Large is not afraid to be called a ‘dance band,’” according to a press release from organizers. “The music makes you want to move and that is a good thing. Their original music is positive, upbeat, and funky. Funky latin jazzy, old school funk, hip-hop, reggae styles will keep you on the floor smiling and moving.”
The Carolyn Dolan and Peter Supersano Trio will open up the show at 4 p.m. and celebrate the release of their new album, “How Deep is the Ocean.”
“We had an incredible turnout for the debut of this new series last month,” said Leslie Schultz, of On Course Events, in the release. “We’re thrilled to continue working with the Lake Tahoe Golf Course and to offer this new venue to our community. It’s complete with patio seating, grassy areas to set up a blanket and breathtaking mountain views that create the perfect Tahoe experience.”
In addition to live music, attendees can also enjoy local artists, vendors, barbecue platters and drink specials.
