Tahoe Dance Band invites everyone to a St. Patrick’s Dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Those who wish may wear green.

There will be a special prize. Everyone who attends will be given a green shamrock with a number underneath. At a certain time, whoever has the lucky shamrock will win a cash prize. Everyone who celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, even later in the month, is considered to be Irish. It is not necessary to come as a couple to the dance.

There will be “mixers” to see that everyone has a chance to get up and dance and get acquainted. The 17- piece band plays all kinds of music for dancing and listening pleasure. There are always men and women who come alone to find dance partners or to just enjoy listening to the music.

Admission includes wine, appetizers and desserts – all for only $8. Participants can win a free door prize and there will also be a raffle for some good prizes.
