Dancers head to Winterfest

In August some of the students from Dance Visions Performing Art Center attended the L.A. Dance Camp in the High Sierra. This six-day camp, organized by Gina Hernandez of Dance Unlimited Dance Studio in Reno, brings some highly acclaimed choreographers and teachers from Los Angeles studios and top traveling conventions to Tahoe so that students and teachers can study intense dance training.

Three students from Dance Visions, Alexis Arens, Becca Lincoln and Abrie Parrish, received scholarships to go to the Winterfest Dance Convention.

The convention will take place Feb. 19 and 20 at the Sands Casino in Reno. Any dancer 8 or older interested in attending Winterfest should contact Hernandez at (775) 324-3262.
