The Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys will close out the season with a monster show.

Dave Matthews Band will bring its singular sound to the South Shore on Friday, Sept. 7.

The band, according to a show description, formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in early 1991. A little more than two years later, the band released its first album: “Remember Two Things.”

In 1996 the band received its first Grammy nominations, and played a string of shows in Madison Square Garden.

Releases in the coming years established Dave Matthews Band as one of the hottest acts in the U.S.

“Rolling Stone praised the band for pushing in ‘adventurous new directions,’ noting: they play as if their lives — and yours — depended on it.’ ‘Don’t Drink the Water,’ ‘Crush’ and ‘Stay (Wasting Time)’ were among the hit singles, which is now certified triple Platinum,” notes the band’s online bio.

The concert is the last of the 2018 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series.

As of publication, the Dave Matthews Band Tahoe show was sold out, however, hopeful concert goers can check bit.ly/DMBtahoeshow for ticket availability.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Harveys Lake Tahoe is located at 18 U.S. 50 in Stateline, Nevada.
