Day in Paradise features duck races

The Optimist Club will be holding the 12th annual “Day In Paradise” at Tahoe Paradise Park in Meyers on Saturday. The event includes duck races, pancake breakfast, car show, barbecue featuring Overland Meats burgers, barbecued ribs and hot dogs. There will be a beer garden and live music by Pre Flight and Deep Fried Mojo. Free games and prizes for children. All proceeds go back to the community to support local youth. Event takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Duck gates open at 10 a.m. with the first race at 11 a.m. Tickets are available now. For more information, call 530-541-4700.
