Day two of special session: Live Coverage

CARSON CITY, Nev. – Nevada Lawmakers continue to address the state’s nearly $900 million budget shortfall today.

The 26th special session started yesterday and is expected to last until at least Friday, costing $50,000 in General Fund dollars per day.

Gov. Jim Gibbons has asked for roughly 10 percent budget cuts across most state agencies, including closing some facilities such as the Nevada State Prison in Carson City.
