Daylight saving time a reminder to check smoke detectors

With Sunday’s time change, firefighters remind residents to check their smoke detector batteries.

At 2 a.m., residents across Nevada will turn the clock back an hour.

While digital devices tend to handle the change themselves, the same can’t be said for smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries.
