Gregory Crofton, Tahoe Daily Tribune

A group that advises the U.S. Forest Service and other federal agencies about their work in the Lake Tahoe Basin will meet Tuesday in South Lake Tahoe.

The Federal Advisory Committee and Lake Tahoe Federal Interagency Partnership will discuss the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act project list, plans for the Taylor Creek Visitor Center, and a series of studies completed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The meeting, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Inn by the Lake, 3300 Highway 50, will also include a transportation workshop.

The Federal Advisory Committee and Lake Tahoe Federal Interagency Partnership was formed in 1998. It has 20 members who represent a variety of interest groups.

Meetings are open to the public, with time set aside for public comment. Issues can be brought to the committee by sending a written request to Jeannie Stafford, USDA Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit at 35 College Drive, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
