DCSD to meet today
Douglas County School District trustees will meet today in Genoa and review the district’s strategic plan.
Trustees will attend a discussion aimed at the board’s newer members including two appointed this year, John Louritt and Connie Wennhold. The special meeting begins at 1 p.m. at Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch, 2901 Jacks Valley Road.
After a scheduled 6 p.m. dinner, there will be an update on transition efforts by administrators. Superintendent Pendery Clark announced her resignation earlier this month to take a position in San Mateo, Calif. She will be replaced on an interim basis by Assistant Superintendent John Soderman.
