Dentist to raise funds for mental illness organization

Provided to the Tribune

Dr. Frederick Wenck, a local dentist, is participating in a fundraiser to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Wenck will donate $100 for dental work costing $200 or more and the donations will be given to NAMI.

NAMI will use the donations to provide training for police officers at the South Shore to better serve or de-escalate a situation dealing with an individual with a mental illness or who is chemically imbalanced.

Dental appointments must be made between Sept. 10 to Sept. 21 by calling Dr. Wenck’s office at (530) 541-4170. Appointments can be scheduled for the future.
