Dinner to benefit stroke patient

Provided to the Tribune

A benefit dinner and live music will be held at American Legion Post 795, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday for local resident Shelly Arnold, who recently suffered a stroke. The event is open to the public.

Arnold’s friends are encouraged to volunteer by preparing food, collecting donations and raffling off prizes starting at 4 p.m., when the doors open.

Live music will begin at 6 p.m. with Jesse Kalin, Trey Stone and the Cash Only band, with a guest appearance by Arnold’s daughter, Melanie, a vocalist.

A pasta dinner, including salad and desert, will be available for $8, and all proceeds will be donated to Arnold’s medical expenses.

For more information, call the American Legion at (530) 541-8788 or Julie at (530) 541-0326.
