CASA (Court Appointed Special advocates), Tahoe Magic and Discovery Toys are teeming up to help ensure that every child in South Lake Tahoe awakes on Christmas morning with gifts especially chosen for him or her. CASA has trained adult volunteers to help or children who are part of the court system due to abuse or neglect. Tahoe Magic provides a Christmas for low-income families which have been identified either through the school nurses or teachers in Lake Tahoe Unified Elementary Schools and Zephyr Cove Elementary. Discovery Toys is dedicated to helping families raise smarter, happier and more well-adjusted children. Discovery Toys specialize in educational, non-violent toys to meet the needs of children from birth through elementary school age.

Wendy David is Case manager for CASA and steering committee member for Tahoe Magic. Eddi Beaty is Educational consultant for Discovery Toys. They have gotten together and chosen toys they would like to see made available for children this holiday season.
