Liesl Kenney
Special to the Tribune

Discovery Day Camp, for children ages 5-12, offers an exciting day of exploration and adventure centrally located out of the Heavenly Village. Children will begin their day with a scenic 2.4 mile gondola ride up to the top of Heavenly Mountain Resort, including a stop at the observation deck with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. Once they reach the top, the day is filled with varying activities ranging from tubing, rock wall climbing, chairlift ride to the summit, hiking, challenge courses, relay games, conservation education and nature crafts.

Discovery Day Camp runs seven days a week from June 19 to Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 2015-16 winter season pass holders will receive a discount on single days with proof of pass number. For more information on Discovery Day Camp and pricing, visit skiheavenly.com/summercamp.
