Documentary on drinking water to be screened at LTCC

An award-winning documentary on the issues surrounding bottled water versus tap water will be screened at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Aspen Room of the Lake Tahoe Community College Library, 1 College Drive. The event is free.

The screening is part of three area screenings sponsored by the Tahoe Water Suppliers Association.

The movie will also be shown at 6 p.m. March 31 at Sierra Nevada College, 291 Country Club Drive, Incline Village. A third screening in Tahoe City is being arranged for May.

The film is from the producers of “Who Killed the Electric Car” and “I.O.U.U.S.A.” and is a behind-the-scenes look at the bottled water industry.

The February and March screenings are presented by the Tahoe Water Suppliers Association in partnership with the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences and Lake Tahoe Community College.
