Doggie day care opens in South Lake Tahoe

Tahoe Best Friends doggie daycare, boarding and training center opened in July and offers large indoor/outdoor play areas, cageless boarding and 24-hour staffing. Dogs of similar size and temperaments are able to enjoy the grass areas, pools, gym and living room.

The training center is now open and offers positive reinforcement dog training classes and private lessons. No choke chains or force-based techniques.

Free shelter dog adoption classes will be available from 6-7 p.m. Thursday. Group lessons begin Sept. 15 for basic dog training 101 and puppy classes.

Tahoe Best Friends is at 2197 Ruth Ave., across from the recycling center. Visit http://www.tahoebestfriends.com or call 530-542-2336 for details.
