Donations sought for St. Theresa reading event

Provided to the Tribune

In an effort to receive funding for a library, St. Theresa Catholic School students are working to receive pledges for a read-a-thon event on Monday.

“We are not as fortunate as the public schools. We have no public school-district funds we can draw from” stated Kelley Welykholowa, the private school’s reading specialist.

Donations are still being accepted. Checks can be addressed to “St. Theresa Reading Program” and either dropped off at the school or mailed to 1081 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe, CA, 96150.
