Douglas County Historical Society to host lecture

The Douglas County Historical Society will host its February lecture on Thursday.

This month’s speaker will be Dr. Gene Hattori, who is thecurator of anthropology at the Nevada State Museum. He is an archaeologist specializing in historic and prehistoric archaeology of Nevada and surrounding regions. He will speak on Nevada’s oldest petroglyphs.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley Museum in Gardnerville, 1477 Highway 395 N. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission costs $3 for nonmembers and is free to members.
