Douglas still recycling trees

Staff report

Douglas County Parks and Recreation will continue to offer its Christmas tree recycling program to Nevada residents through Jan. 31. Trees may be dropped off at Zephyr Cove Park on Warrior Way or Kahle Community Park, Kingsbury Grade and Highway 50.

To protect workers and equipment, remove tinsel, lights, nails and stands from trees before dropping them off. Flocked trees will not be accepted because they will gum up the chippers. For more information contact Douglas County Parks and Recreation at (775) 782-9835.
