Memorial services are pending for Douglass Young High, who died July 25, 2006, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Douglass was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Fresno, Calif. He and his wife had lived at South Lake Tahoe for 27 years. He was in sales, marketing and plumbing and was an active community leader. He had been student body president at Fresno High School, president of Fresno 20-30 Club, district governor for the Suburban 20-30 Club and on the district commission in Southern California for the Boy Scouts of America. He had been secretary/trustee for Elks Club 2094 at South Lake Tahoe and president of Tahoe Paradise Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Eileen; sons, Steven D. High of Honolulu, Scott High of Carson City, Nev., Casey William High of Honolulu and Jeffrey Lynn High of Roseville, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to B.P.O.E. 2094 in South Lake Tahoe or B.P.O.E. 616 in Honolulu.
