South Lake Tahoe’s own classic rock band, Drought Relief, can be heard at Lakeside Inn and Casino’s The Tavern on Saturday, Sept. 10, beginning at 9:45 p.m.

The cover band, influenced by artists from the 1960s and ‘70s, is comprised of vocalist and guitarist Ron Blum, guitarist Torg Hallin, bassist Todd Christensen and AJ Steed on drums.

“With over 100 years of combined musical expertise, these guys aim to make you look at some of the best classic rock in a new light,” states Drought Relief’s Facebook page.

“With dancy jams like ‘Miss You’ by The Rolling Stones, and their version of ‘Come Together’ by The Beatles, to heavy hitters like Led Zeppelin, Billy Idol, Weezer, The Who, Bill Withers, Green Day, and many, many, many more,” according to the Facebook page.

Drought Relief formed in 2011 and often plays at local watering holes such as The Beacon Bar and Grill, Cabo Wabo Cantina and Edgewood Tahoe.

They play The Tavern at Lakeside Inn and Casino on Saturday, Sept. 10.

“Live once again at the place it all started, Drought Relief will be bringing the tunes you love to dance to, and the fun that you love to have,” states the Facebook event page.

“Join us to hear them put their stamp on great classic rock tunes,” states the venue’s website.
