Drug Store Project to take place at LTCC

Lake Tahoe Community College will host its “Drug Store Project” on Tuesday.

The event, which is choreographed and coordinated by Lisa Huard, is designed to help those students understand the dangers of using drugs and alcohol and the importance of making the right choices as they go through life.

Along with members of the National Guard, local organizations and agencies, the Sheriff’s Team of Active Retirees will assist members will staff the Command Center and direct participants to their assignments, usher students to the life-like scenarios that define the Drug Store Project, assist in the cafeteria during lunchtime and perform other duties that ensure the project’s annual success.

Anyone age 50 or older is welcome to join STAR by applying at El Dorado Co. Sheriff’s Office on Johnson Drive, South Lake Tahoe, or calling 530-573-3300 or 573-3000.
