Drunk driving statistics

– One out of 280 babies born today will die in a crash with an intoxicated driver.

– Between 1 and 7 a.m., one out of seven drivers is drunk.

– Driving Under the Influence charges cost on average $5,248 in fines, fees and insurance increases.

– 21- to 34-year-olds represent only 28 percent of licensed drivers but are responsible for 53 percent of fatal alcohol-related crashes.
