DUI checkpoint Saturday
The California Highway Patrol, in partnership with the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, intends to establish a sobriety checkpoint Saturday on U.S. Highway 50 somewhere between the “Y” and Stateline.
In that there hasn’t been a sobriety checkpoint in the area for sometime, the officers are giving local motorists some advanced notice, according to the CHP. Motorists with blood alcohol levels of .08 or above will be in trouble.
