Earth Day celebration to be held Saturday

Earth Day events sponsored by the League to Save Lake Tahoe are just around the corner.

This year’s festival, Celebrate Tahoe, Earth Day 2001, will include music, food and hands-on activities at South Tahoe Middle School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Those interested in having a table at the Earth Day event should sign up Tuesday by calling the League office at (530) 541-5388 or stop by the South Lake Tahoe Chamber to pick up an application.

As part of the Earth Day festivities, the Tahoe Basin Americorps will be conducting a hands-on restoration event.
