‘East Side’ painting featured on poster

Tahoe Arts Project will host the fifth annual Lake Tahoe Festival of Fine Arts July 1 and 2 at South Tahoe Middle School. Admission is free.

Irene Livermore’s painting, “Lake Tahoe East Side,” has been selected as this year’s poster and cover art. Livermore is an oil painter from Dyer, Nev., who has participated in the festival for the past four years.

The festival will feature more than 60 visiting and local fine artists, food booths, children’s art projects, entertainment, raffle prizes and fun for the entire family. There will be a wide variety of fine art, including painting, glasswork, jewelry, photography, woodwork, ceramics, sculpture and metalwork.

The Lake Tahoe Festival of Fine Arts is a fundraiser for Tahoe Arts Project, a nonprofit organization that brings professional performing arts to over 5,000 students in South Lake Tahoe and provides cultural enrichment and diversity for the community.

This outdoor festival will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at South Tahoe Middle School, 2940 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Call Tahoe Arts Project at (530) 542-3632.
