Easter egg hunts to be held around South Lake Tahoe

Provided to the Tribune

South Lake Tahoe organizations will host Easter egg hunts over the coming week.

Leadership Lake Tahoe will host an egg hunt Friday for the South Lake Tahoe Boys and Girls Club. Children between kindergarten and eighth grade will be able to decorate their collecting bags provided in the days leading up to the hunt. Children will be hunting for eggs filled with candy, toys, safety gear, and local donations designed to keep children active. A special prize will also be awarded to the finder of the golden egg in each hunt. To donate a prize or certificate appropriate for children, email Leadership team member Lyndsay Bryant at Lyndsay@LakeTahoeSitters.com.

A free Easter egg hunt will also be held April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Tahoe Community College.

The 45th annual event will be hosted by the South Tahoe Optimist Club, which will hide 2,500 eggs throughout the parking lot near the college gym. Children will be sorted by age group and an area will also be designated for children with special needs. Prizes will be handed out.
