Edgewood Tahoe Lodge Project to be discussed at open house

Provided to the Tribune

Edgewood Companies will host an open house Thursday for community members to learn more about the proposed Edgewood Tahoe Lodge Project.

The Edgewood Tahoe Lodge Project includes a LEED-designed hotel with environmental imrpovements located adjacent to the current clubhouse on the 18-hole golf course. The project will include 194 hotel rooms, a bistro-style restaurant, spa and links to nearby bike and walking trails.

As part of the approval process required by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, the project is currently undergoing an Environmental Impact Statement review process by an outside environmental consulting firm. The draft results of the study will be available for public review in the coming days. The TRPA Advisory Planning Commission and the governing board will review the EIS and take public comment, with a final decision expected in September. Once approved, construction of the lodge may begin as early as next year.
