El Dorado County announces new date, location for VHR meeting in South Lake Tahoe

After two unsuccessful attempts to host a meeting on vacation home rentals up at the lake, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors has landed on a new date and location for a third attempt.

The supervisors are set to host the meeting Saturday, March 24, in the multipurpose room at South Tahoe Middle School in South Lake Tahoe. The meeting is scheduled for 1 – 3 p.m.

The meeting is a continuation of one that started Feb. 1 at Lake Tahoe Airport. Shortly after the meeting started, the South Lake Tahoe fire marshal informed supervisors that the number of people was above capacity and the meeting needed to be cut short.

The county then rescheduled the meeting for Saturday, March 3, but canceled it ahead of a winter storm that ultimately dumped more than 5 feet of snow around Lake Tahoe.
